　　【摘要】：本文在分析了外观设计专利文献简要说明部分的撰写语言结构、句式、用词的变化，总结出各阶段对应的翻译规律，归纳出一套适合于该领域文献中对英翻译的方法和技巧，可以提高该领域机器辅助或人工翻译的速度和准确率。

　　一、概述

　　外观设计简要说明（brief explanation）是用来对外观设计产品的设计要点、省略视图以及请求保护色彩等情况进行扼要的描述。

　　1.本外观设计所涉及的产品是室内墙壁用检查口框。该产品的内框和外框可装卸自如地进行嵌合，…“使用状态横剖参考图”所示。2.本外观设计的设计要点在于：…如“内框与外框的分解参考图”所示。3.本外观设计所涉及的产品的使用方法：对布设在室内墙里侧的布管…布线等进行维修检查。

　　二、外观设计专利常用视图翻译

　　2.1概述

　　专利法规定，申请人应当就每件外观设计产品所需要保护的内容提交有关视图，清楚地显示请求保护的对象。
